Garbovsky and Colak Placed 5th in Orlando,  State Scholastic Championship

Broward Chess Club Saturday Workshop Participants,

Yan Garbovsky and Denis Colak  came in 5th place in the State Scholastic Championship this past weekend in Orlando, Florida.

City of Hallandale Mayor, Joy Cooper played chess with our Saturday Workshop Students, Jordan Applebaum at The Mayor’s Chess Challenge at the Veteran Park Community Center in Hallandale on Saturday, March 11th.  Numerous Mayors throughout Broward County take turns hosting a free chess event in their respective cities to support scholastic chess education.
